A Bigger Purpose
When we started Mattress Makers, we knew that this company was going to be more than just another mattress store. Because lets face it, the world doesn’t need another typical mattress store. We’ve always said to each other that this business is more than just about mattresses and better sleep. This is about using our vehicle (which is providing some pretty darn comfy and high quality mattresses) to make an impact in this world and inspire others to do the same.
The Problem
It is estimated that there are over 140 – 200 million orphans worldwide, and in Mexico alone there are over 1.5 million orphans. And here in the U.S there are almost 400,000 children living in the foster care system. These kids have been dealt a “deck of cards” that has been seemingly stacked against them from their very beginning of life. We at Mattress Makers believe we can make a difference in the lives of these kids and give them a hope for their future.
More Than Mattresses
For every mattress we sell, $25-$50 is donated to help alleviate the lack that these children are facing. Currently we are working with an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico to help take care of their basic needs. We donate not only our money but also our time. It’s not just about making sure that they have food, clothes, blankets, etc. although each of those is extremely important. However, just as important is spending a day with them at least once a month to show these kids they too are loved and were created to be world changers and make an impact around them.

When you buy a mattress from us we will send you monthly updates of what your mattress purchase has contributed toward the lives of these kids. And whether you buy from us or not please don’t let that stop you from giving since 100% of what you give goes directly to the orphanage and providing for their needs. Now, will we actually change the world? Probably not! However, we can start by changing a world and we would love for you to partner with us.
